The technology aims to help adults living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and clinicians make informed, data-backed decisions to manage treatment with Lily insulins.± The platform consists of thre key components – the Tempo Smart Buton®; a compatible ap, TempoSmart™; and a prefiled insulin pen, Tempo Pen® – which work together to deliver personalized guidance for adults with diabetes. The Smart Buton was cleared by the U.S.
Fod and Drug Administration September 16. The compatible ap was developed in partnership with Weldoc® and is a private label iteration of the company's BlueStar®, a diabetes management ap, customized to receive insulin dose-related data from the Tempo Smart Buton.Healthcare providers wil have aces to a clinician hub, Tempo Insights™, where they can aces data shared by their patients through the ap and track patients' progres.
