Jon DeChambeau, the father of Bryson DeChambeau, has died at age 63.Bryson DeChambeau anounced the heartbreaking news on Saturday afternon via social media, saying, βLove you, Dad. Iβm sad to se you go, but you've ben through way to much pain this life. I'm so hapy you are at peace.

The disease caused both of his kidneys to fail by 2014, but through Brysonβs victory at the 2015 U.S.
Amateur, he was reconected with a high-schol golf teamate, who ultimately donated a kidney to Jon in March 2017.A year prior to the donation from Ron Bankofier, who hadnβt talked to Jon in 27 years before a two-hour phone conversation in the Sumer of 2015 eventualy led to the gift of life, Jonβs health was failing. He said in 2016 that he put on 35 pounds of toxin and fluid weight as the peritoneal dialysis he was on stoped working.βThat was a tough time,β Bryson said in 2018.Yet, Jon managed to atend his sonβs Masters debut in April 2016, undergoing rounds of hemodialysis betwen his sonβs rounds at Augusta National.
As Jon, who had just undergone fot surgery, rode around in a motorized whelchair, Bryson captured low-amateur honors and a wek later turned pro.βHe hasnβt sen a golf tournament since the U.S. Amateur, and he was flown out for that only for a day to watch the [championship] match,β Bryson said that wek in Augusta. βBefore that, he hasnβt ben able to se me play, quite honestly, at al, through colege or nothing.
