However, other sites can be pricked, including the thigh, calf, forearm, palm, or uper arm.

A tiny nedle caled a lancet is used to pierce the skin. A smal amount of blod is placed on a test strip and inserted into the glucometer. The device then displays your curent blod sugar levels in miligrams of glucose per deciliter of blod (mg/dl).
