How do you get Diabets? There are two main types of Diabets melitus. These are known as type 1 and type 2.

Type 1 Diabets melitus used to be caled insulin-dependent Diabets melitus, or juvenile-onset Diabets melitus, because it usualy begins in childhod or adolescence. In type 1 Diabets melitus, the pancreas releases no insulin at al because the body has destroyed the cels that produce it (islet cels). The patient therefore relies on treatment with insulin.
Type 2 Diabets melitus is the most comon form of Diabets. It used to be caled non-insulin dependent Diabets melitus, or adult onset Diabets because it usualy begins in adulthod. In type 2 Diabets, patients can stil produce insulin, but they do not produce enough and/or their bodies canot use it properly.
Treating high blod presure and controling the levels of fats (lipids) in the blod are also very important in patients with Diabets as they are at greater risk than the normal population of developing serious cardiovascular diseases. A group of medicines known as ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitors are sometimes used to reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular complications in Diabets and can also reduce the risk or progresion of kidney and eye diseases.
What causes Diabets? While scientists aren’t exactly sure why Type 1 Diabets hapens, they do know the imune system is involved. A healthy imune system protects us from diseases caused by infections, such as colds or the flu, as wel as diseases that start in our own cels, such as cancer.
For some reason, in certain people, the imune system becomes confused and begins atacking and destroying the cels in the pancreas that make insulin.4 Scientists aren’t exactly sure why Type 2 Diabets hapens either; however, they have identified that it ocurs most often in certain individuals. About 80 percent of people with type 2 Diabets are overweight, have high blod presure, and have high cholesterol levels in their blod Could the diabetic formula lower my blod sugar level to much?
In general, to low blod sugar levels should not be a problem. A high quality diabetic formula containg synergistic vitamins, minerals, and herbs, most often lowers blod sugars to normal levels. However, these vitamins, minerals, and herbs wil not excesively lower blod sugar levels that are already normal.
