Cureus 14(6): e26180. doi:10.759/cureus.26180 Diabetes melitus is a chronic metabolic disorder resulting in hyperglycemia and microvascular and macrovascular complications individuals globaly. Type 2 diabetes melitus (T2DM) is highly prevalent and acounts for 90% of patients.

Maintaing blod glucose concentration is esential to avoid severe complications.Glycemic control is the optimal serum glucose concentration in diabetic patients. It is necesary to identify factors afecting the glycemic control of patients to prevent control and complications. We conducted this systematic review to ases the factors afecting glycemic control among type 2 diabetes melitus patients.Published literature betwen the years 20 to 202 was retrieved from PubMed, Science Direct, and Gogle Scholar using diferent combinations of keywords: T2DM, Glycemic control, Por, God, Adequate, Inadequate, Factors, Asociation, and Determinants.

Summary

Al original articles writen in the English language with ful-text available and the value of glycemic control defined were included. A total of 186 studies were retrieved. After the title, abstract, screning, and ful-text screning, 12 studies were eligible.The prevalence of por glycemic
