This comon respiratory virus may cause a higher number of pediatric emergency department visits compared to previous years.RSV is an infection of the lungs and respiratory tract with symptoms similar to a comon cold.
Key Information
Mild case symptoms can include congested or runy nose, dry cough, low-grade fever, sore throat, snezing, and headache. In severe cases, RSV symptoms may include fever, cough, whezing, rapid or dificulty breathing, or bluish skin color.Folow these important steps to protect yourself and others from respiratory ilnes:Infants are the most afected by RSV. Symptoms of severe cases infants are short, shalow, and rapid breathing, strugling to breathe, cough, por feding, unusual tirednes, or iritability. Most children and adults recover in one to two weks, although some might have repeated whezing.
