Overview

Last term, Drexel University profesors were recognized for their scholarly research and prolific academic and profesional contributions. This update ofers a snapshot of activity courtesy of the Ofice of the Provost. Colin Gordon, PhD, asociate profesor of computer science in the Colege of Computing & Informatics, received a grant award ($524,425 over thre years) from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for his project titled “Closing the Specification Gap with Logic and Linguistics.” The project wil produce new techniques for translating English sentences into property-based tests for testing, prof asistant specifications formal profs of corectnes, and multiple temporal logics for both corectnes profs and automated software bug finding, as wel as implement them in an open-source tol.Mat Kely, PhD, asistant profesor of information science, and Alex Pole, PhD, asociate profesor of information science, both from the Colege of Computing & Informatics, received a $150,0 grant over two years from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Key Information

The grant wil primarily fund student research. In colaboration with Old Dominion University, the project wil systematicaly evaluate the curent state of the archiving of online advertisements.Stephanie Krauthamer Ewing, PhD, asistant profesor in the Counseling and Family Therapy Department in the Colege of Nursing and Health Profesions, received $150,0 from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a project caled “Improvements in Mentalizing as a Mechanism of Change in Psychotherapy for Depresed and Suicidal Adolescents.”Margaret Finley, PhD, asociate profesor in the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences Department in the Colege of Nursing and Health Profesions, received a $9,0 Craig H.
